Skills West Expo is Western Australia’s leading, largest and most attended careers event that enables visitors to explore real job opportunities, tertiary and VET course options, find traineeships, apprenticeships and plan new career pathways. Hosted in partnership with the State Government and The West Australian, Skills West Expo showcases the largest range of employers, industry bodies, and accredited educators from across the State. Skills West Expo is free for all visitors to attend and will be held on 12-14 August, 2016 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event attracts more than 9,000 students, graduates, job seekers and career changers across three days. Put simply, Skills West Expo is the leading event to inform and educate visitors about real career pathways and opportunities that exist within all industries.

Additional Instructions: Pre-register to attend the show to fast-track your entry on the day. Visitors can also register onsite before entry.

NAPLAN & Room 39 Computer Lab

NAPLAN testing for 2016 has now been completed. Thank you to all students for completing the task.
The new computer lab has been completed in Room 39 and Narrogin Senior High School is now equiped with 3D printing capabilities.
Bendigo Bank High School Netball Cup

Congratulations to the NSHS Academy girls who represented our school at the recent Bendigo Bank High School Netball Cup held in Katanning. We were successful with the Middle School girls coming away Champions and the Lower School girls came runners up in their finals. A huge thank you to Mrs Corner and Mrs Wilkie for organising the event. Mrs Corner would like to thank the parents who volunteered their time to coach: Jane Dyke, Jo Drayton, Holli Hanson, Sharon Palumbo and the umpires Mrs Wilkie, Kirra Simmons, India Edwards and Jessica Coppock.

Parent Interview Online Booking Information – Thursday 31 March

We have scheduled a Parent/Teacher interview afternoon to allow you to consult with the teachers of your son/daughter. This has been arranged for Thursday 31 March 2016. On this day, from 4.00pm until 7.50pm, as many teachers as possible will be available for interview by appointment. Interviews will be conducted in the NSHS Gymnasium and are of 10 minutes duration.
To co-ordinate the interviews we have employed an online booking system to assist parents in securing their preferred interview times. The procedure is as follows:
- If you wish to see any of your child’s teachers, you need to secure an appointment time using this system. If you do not have access to the internet your local library may be able to help, or alternatively you can call the school office.
- The booking system will only be accessible from Monday 14 March 2016 from 8.30am through to 3pm on Wednesday 30 March 2016. Interview outside of these times will need to be negotiable with the teachers individually.
